CAJ coordinates periodic security seminar and workshops in collaboration with the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), in partnership with USSOUTHCOM and USNORTHCOM. The seminars bring together U.S. government officials, military personnel, academics and practitioners, as well as officials from other countries in the Americas to look at common topics of interests from different perspectives. In September 2012, CAJ hosted a seminar on Regional Perspectives on Organized Crime in Latin America and the Caribbean.

CAJ also supports strengthening law enforcement capabilities that contribute to justice sector improvements. Working together with a group of former police officers and criminal justice experts, CAJ provides services to improve criminal justice procedures and practices, an essential component to better security at the local and national levels.
